World superstar singer, Akon has definitely been busy doing some good humanitarian work around Africa.
He was photographed during a visit he paid to the Nigerian Minister of Environment, Amina Mohammed in New York City.
The Senegalese singer made the visit on April 22nd, to discuss the Great Green wall project, a pan-African proposal set to battle desertification.
The Great Green wall project will push the “green” movement in the continent from west to east in order to put a stop to desertification.
This project is one out of many humanitarian projects Akon has been involved with in recent times.
